Hack for Humanity: Water

On August 21-23, rhubarb studios will be hosting a water hackathon to come up with viable solutions for the extreme drought in California. This hack for humanity will be held at rhubarb's creative space in the U.S. Bank Tower. The teams coming to work are some of the best makers, inventors, and developers in Southern California. Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti has partnered with rhubarb on this event and will take these ideas to companies who can commercialize the solutions. The water hackathon will find technology solutions in three themes: Clean, Collect and Consume. Hackers will be provided thousands of dollars of hardware and software to work with. Professionals from innovation, hardware production, policy and design will mentor cross-pollination teams and be on the lookout for technology to produce.
